Soya Pyaaz Pulao: A Nutritious and Delicious Pulao Recipe



Ingredients

15-20 mins 2 servings

  1. 7-9 Soya Chunks, soaked in water (5-10 minutes)

  2. 2 Onions, roughly chopped

  3. 1 small size Potato, chopped

  4. 1 1/2 Tomato, finely chopped

  5. 1 tbsp cumin seeds

  6. 2-3 garlic cloves, chopped

  7. 2-3 tbsp olive oil / any oil

  8. 1/2 cup Basmati rice, soaked

  9. as per taste Salt

  10. 1 tsp Kitchen king masala

  11. 1/2-1 tsp red chilli powder

  12. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  13. Pinch Asafoetida/hing

  14. 1-2 bay leaves

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Heat 1 or 2 tbsp of oil in the pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add some chopped onions and sauté them till they turn translucent in colour.


Step 2

Then add chopped tomatoes and potatoes. Add some salt (as per taste) and soaked soya chunks also. Mix them well. Note - Sprinkle some water if the mixture gets dry.


Step 3

Add all the masalas, soaked rice. and some water. Now cover it and let the rice cook. (Atleast 2 whistles)


Step 4

Once done, turn off the flame. Transfer the rice to the serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with raita or curd.
