Ingredients
2 Onions/Pyaaz (finely sliced)
1 cup Spinach/Paalak (chopped)
1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped)
2 cups Gram Flour/Besan
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Rice flour
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
as per taste Salt
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1-2 tsp Garam masala powder
1-2 tsp Red chilli powder
as required Vegetable Oil
as required Water
1/2-1 Ginger (finely chopped)
Pinch Baking soda
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, add finely chopped spinach, finely sliced onion, gram flour, rice flour, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, fresh coriander leaves and oil and mix all the ingredients well.
Step 2
Add some water (as per requirement). Add a pinch of baking soda and mix well. The batter should be thick. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3
Heat oil in a kadhai or wok for deep frying.
Step 4
Take a portion of the batter in your fingers, press or flatten the batter with fingers and drop in oil. Similarly drop the rest of the pakodas and deep fry them on medium low flame until they turn golden colour on all sides.
Step 5
Once it's done Take them out. Serve hot with coriander chutney or ketchup.
