Ingredients
2-3 servings
10-12 Cauliflower florets
2 onions, chopped (as shown in pic)
1 Spring onion white and greens, chopped
5-6 Garlic cloves, roughly chopped
1-2 tsp Ginger paste or grated ginger
as per taste Salt
3-4 tbsp Tomato ketchup
2-3 tsp Soy sauce
1-2 tbsp Honey
3 tbsp Maida
1 tbsp Cornflour
1/2 tbsp Chilli sauce (optional)
as required Oil for deep fry
as required Water
as required Mixed herbs or oregano
1-2 tsp Garlic ginger powder or paste
1/2 Capsicum, chopped
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In bowl, add maida, corn flour, salt, ginger garlic paste and water, combine them to make thick batter and keep aside.
Step 2
Meanwhile Heat oil in Kadhai or wok on medium low flame.
Step 3
Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter and deep-fry it till it turns golden brown from all the sides. Once done, take them out in separate bowl.
Step 4
Now heat oil in pan or kadhai/wok. Add ginger, garlic Spring onion whites, onions. Add pinch of salt.
Step 5
Add all the sauces and honey. Toss well (on low flame).
Step 6
Now add 1 tsp thickening paste (1 1/2 tsp corn flour + 1 1/2 tsp water). Add salt if required. Add fries cauliflower to this mixture. Mix well. (you can Turn off the flame while mixing them)
Step 7
Honey Chilli Cauliflower is ready. Sprinkle some spring onion greens and mixed herbs or sesame seeds on it. Serve hot. ;-)
