Why Colorful Eggless Muffins?

There’s something about colorful desserts that brings joy to any table. Whether you’re baking these muffins for a kid’s birthday, a fun gathering, or simply to enjoy with your family, the vibrant swirls of color make them irresistible. The combination of honey, curd, and nutmeg (optional) adds depth to the flavor, while the choco chips give it a delightful texture. And the best part? You don’t even need an oven—just your trusty kadhai!

Eggless Muffins

Ingredients (Makes 4-6 Muffins)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (maida)

  • ¼ cup semolina (sooji)

  • ¼ cup whole wheat flour (atta)

  • Food colors (blue and pink, as needed)

  • A pinch of salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 2 tbsp curd

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg powder (optional)

  • 1 tbsp milk powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • Choco chips (as needed)


Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First of all, In a mixing bowl take milk, sugar and oil and whisk well together. Keep it aside.

Step 2

Meanwhile, in another bowl mix all purpose flour, milk powder, sooji, whole wheat flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg powder and baking powder. Sieve 2-3 times. The more you sieve, the softer your muffins will be due to aeration in flour.

Step 3

Once you done with sieving, add this mixture to wet ingredients. Gently fold all the ingredients.


Step 4

Take a deep kadhai and add 2 cup of salt in it. Preheat the Kadhai for 10-12 mins on high flame with perforated plate.

Step 5

Transfer batter into muffins moulds. You have to mix blue and pink food Colour in a separate bowl, till it becomes purple in colour. Then put some drops of purple food Colour to the cupcake and make designs of your choice. Or you can simply mix the purple into the batter and then transfer it into the moulds.


Step 6

Now lower the flame. Place the moulds in Kadhai on the perforated plate and cover the lid. Bake for 25-30 mins (medium flame) till done. Check by inserting a toothpick, if it comes out clean your cupcake is ready.



Step 7

After baking is done. Take out the moulds from Kadhai. Cool it down to room temperature. Cupcakes are ready.
