Strawberry Cake (Dry and Eggless): A Delicious and Nutritious Dessert

Ingredients (Serves 4-6)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

  • 7-8 fresh strawberries

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • 2 tbsp milk powder

  • ½ cup warm milk

  • 2 tbsp yoghurt

  • ½ cup sooji (optional)

  • Red food color (optional)


Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Take strawberries in a blender and puree till smooth. Set aside. And take 1-2 strawberries chop them seperately.


Step 2

Take all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and sooji (optional) in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.

Step 3

Add warm milk, sugar, oil in a bowl and mix well till creamy. Add in strawberry puree, yoghurt and mix well. And add 2-3 drops of red food colour (if you want).


Step 4

Grease a cake pan with oil and dust with flour. Set aside. Preheat oven to 180°c for 8-10 mins.

Step 5

Add the flour mix and fold gently. Spoon this into the cake pan, also add chopped strawberries into this and now let it bake for 20 to 25 mins.


Step 6

Remove from oven and cool completely. Now slice them in half or you can decorate with your favourite frosting and serve.
